Artistic Statement: Monica Stevens

My family nurtured my artistic bent for as long as I can remember, teaching me to sing and then perform their favorite gospel songs and later progressing on to more complicated Broadway ballads. I was always surrounded by art and culture. The theatre was a place of escape and also fueled my love of painting and sense of design. Today, I remain influenced by the theatre as well as my work in the medical profession.
